![]() Best thing is to check them all out and what they offer for the loot. There is Sony's offerings as well as Corel's. ![]() The video editing market has Adobe Premiere as likely the best but it costs. These would get you going and have some success whilst you learned more of what the program has to offer.Ĭyberlink has been around for many years and is best known for its PowerDVD video player which I have used for many years. It has some hand-holding offerings like Express Projects to allow you to simply add video. ![]() These open up the possibilites - better seen on Vimeo.Īs I understand it this is not a pro program - such would cost a lot more - but it's more than enough for most of us. DSLR cameras have also dipped in to the video market and offer the advantages of changeable lenses and some offer pro output. A decent mobile phone today will do very well for such a project. The sort of music videos you'd find on YT, eg music compeitions often require a video. I'm not an avid movie maker rather an occasional one. However, this reservation should not detract from the assessment that this is a fast full-featured package which should give years of sterling service before someone ups the standard formats again.Īt the out set I'd like to say this seems to be a very good program with many advanced features which add excitement to movies. Perhaps when I play with them, I may be less cynical of the value. My only criticism so far is the claim on the box that it includes £900's worth of extra effects in the £75 package while the package is very good value, I'm not sure where the extra's valuation came from sibce they seem to consist of three p-roject packs (wedding, travel and holiday) plus Adorage v2 (Vitascene effects and transitions). Naturally, the production of video's of high resolution lasting a significant length of time will require oodles of hard disc storage - especially as the video will be rendered separately from the source footage being stitched together - lucking such storage is now relatively cheap andf easy to fit to modern computers. There are also variable speed tools to slowmo your videos (or, of course, speed them up). The 360 degree stitching of ex[posures into a single view is now often used by people selling houses to create rotatable views of properties, but is equally useful for panoramic landscapes. The use of 4K resolution is really standard these days, especially if the results are to be shown in large magnification using a projector. I hadn't upgraded since PowerDirector 12, and the differences over the three issues do seem to be worthwhile.
